Iranians Rally in Support of Retaliatory Strikes
Thousands of Iranians have taken to the streets to voice their support for the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps’s Operation True Promise, a raft of retaliatory strikes conducted by the Corps against the occupied territories recently.
The rallies were held following Friday prayers in the capital Tehran, the central city of Isfahan, the southwestern city of Ahvaz, the north-central city of Qom, and many other locations throughout the country.
In the capital, the demonstrators marched from the vicinity of the University of Tehran towards the iconic Enqelab Square.
During the retaliatory strikes, the Corps targeted the occupied territories with hundreds of drones and missiles. The strikes inflicted damage on Israeli military bases across the occupied territories.
At the end of the Tehran rally, the participants issued a statement, describing the operation as a means of “legitimate defense” that further demonstrated “the strength and esteem of Islamic establishment.”
Contrary to the rumors and claims" made in foreign media, "there are no reports of an attack from abroad on Iran's central city of Isfahan or any other part of the country.
"The sound that was heard in Isfahan, was not an explosion, it was the firing of the rockets of the powerful air defense systems at an object in the air and there was no damage from that. Iran's air defense system and the capable people who operate them are prepared and ready to confront with strength any enemy that threatens the land or air of the Islamic Republic of Iran," said Siavash Mihandoost, commander of the air defense system in Isfahan province.
Iranian President Ebrahim Raeisi has commended the Islamic Republic’s retaliatory strikes on the Israeli-occupied territories on April 13.
“Operation True Promise brought about authority, unity, and cohesion for the country,” the Iranian president said.
