Harry Potter exhibition in Austria's capital
After a triumphant opening in the United States, the Wizarding World opened its doors in Vienna as its first European stop.
Discover the costumes of the films, imagine yourself at Hogwarts school or concoct a virtual potion: the world of the famous wizard Harry Potter is exhibited in Vienna.
In Vienna, chosen for its cultural position “in the heart of Europe”more than 150,000 people had booked their ticket even before the opening, despite a high price.
The exhibition showcases characters from the Harry Potter films and the Fantastic Beasts spin-off series.
She also shows “hundreds” accessories and clothes used on the shoots, while recreating sets like the dining room of Hogwarts with the candles floating in the air or the famous “cupboard under the stairs” where Harry Potter spent his childhood.
After Vienna and Paris, a world tour is planned “in Latin America, Asia and other European and North American cities”according to the press release.
Launched in 1997, the seven-volume series imagined by the British novelist JK Rowling tells the fight of a young wizard named Harry Potter against Lord Voldemort, a black magician in search of immortality.
Book sales are in the hundreds of millions of dollars, while the eight films have generated billions of dollars in revenue.
And as a bonus, a video game Hogwarts Legacy: Hogwarts Legacy is also expected in February.
It will be held in the Austrian capital until March 19 before being presented at the Parc des Expositions in April.
