Honoring Lifetime Achievements & Humanitarian Efforts at the Harold & Carole Pump Foundation Gala
The Lifetime Achievement Honorees—Allen Iverson, Dominique Wilkins, Rickey Henderson, and Lawrence Taylor—along with Humanitarian Honorees Dave Gilbert and Michael Triplett, were recognized at the gala, continuing the organization's efforts to raise funds for patients and families affected by cancer.
The event featured the aforementioned honorees and included a DJ set by Snoop Dogg to open the evening. Notable attendees included Bobby Brown, Glenn Turman, Cedric The Entertainer, and more. Guests enjoyed cocktails and a silent auction, followed by dinner and the official program.
According to the Harold & Carole Pump Foundation's official website, the foundation honors a beloved father who lost his battle with cancer in 2000 and a loving mother who passed away in 2012. Founded by Dana and David Pump, the foundation has raised over $9.5 million for the Carole Pump Women's Center, Harold and Carole Pump Department of Radiation Oncology, the Leavey Cancer Center at Northridge Medical Center, and other non-profit community charities.
The mission of the Harold & Carole Pump Foundation is "to raise funds and create awareness for the treatment and cure of cancer." By engaging the community, sports leaders, and those touched by this disease, the foundation provides financial support for the development of cancer treatments and programs.
