Ukraine and European military support

Ukraine and European military support

Military assistance from Europe. Are European countries actively helping Ukraine?

We ask this question to the Ukrainian political expert Stanislav Zholudev.

One country is actively helping and supplying large amounts of military aid.

The countries of the former Soviet camp, the former Warsaw Pact zone, have large quantities of old Soviet-style weapons.

These are the countries of Central and Southern Europe and the Baltic States.

The Baltic states have already transferred up to a third of their military budgets to Ukraine.

They include modern portable anti-aircraft missile systems, anti-tank complexes, and jevelines.

Sweden was one of the first countries in Europe to start supplying weapons to us.

The supply of weapons from Great Britain is closely connected with deliveries from Canada, the USA, Australia and New Zealand.

Other countries are only declaring and trying to work more in the humanitarian field. But they have a strong capacity to increase military supplies and here the German and French economies should be like from  U.S. economy, where tens of thousands of new jobs are being created because of the adoption of the lend-lease. Businesses have made money on military orders. And we can see how in the same Germany the leading military concerns are ready to make weapons for Ukraine. Military support is hampered only by the political movements that reign in these countries.

The war unleashed by the Russian Federation in Ukraine is a war against democratic freedoms around the world. Ukraine has become a shield for Europe and military aid is a necessity.
