Marc Marquez wins Argentina GP in historic feat

Marc Marquez clinched victory at the Argentina Grand Prix, securing his 90th win across all classes after trailing his brother Alex for much of the race. This historic win equals the record of legendary rider Angel Nieto, with Marc honoring him by wearing a racing wreath inscribed "Gracias Angel" while pointing to the heavens.
The Ducati rider completed a perfect weekend at the Argentine circuit, having also won the sprint race. This performance keeps him atop the MotoGP riders' championship standings as he continues his impressive start to the season.
Returning to Argentina for the first time since 2019, Marc dominated the proceedings despite one error that allowed his brother Alex to briefly take the lead. However, the elder Marquez ruthlessly reclaimed first place and maintained it until the checkered flag. VR46 Racing's Franco Morbidelli rounded out the podium in third place, marking his first podium finish in over 1,400 days.
The Marquez brothers have now achieved a remarkable feat by finishing first and second for the second consecutive race, having also done so at the season opener in Thailand. Prior to these results, MotoGP had not seen two brothers take the top two podium positions for 76 years.
Marc's victory came with a winning margin of 1.3 seconds over Alex, after taking the lead on lap 21 of the 25-lap race. The sibling rivalry has quickly become the dominant narrative of the 2025 MotoGP season, with Marc acknowledging his brother as his "main opponent for the championship this year."
In the supporting races, Jake Dixon claimed victory in Moto2 for Elf Marc VDS, while Angel Piqueras of MT Helmets-MSI narrowly won the Moto3 race.
As the championship progresses, fans eagerly anticipate the next chapter in this compelling fraternal battle for supremacy.
