Gaza mourns teen killed near aid site

Palestinians gathered in Gaza’s Khan Younis to mourn 17-year-old Hani Al-Attar who according to relatives was killed by fire near an aid distribution site in Rafah.
"The firing was coming from the direction of the east, from the side of the tanks. They let people pass and they started shooting (at them). Martyrs and wounded, and people left. They said, "we don’t want aid, and we don’t want flour," his uncle Abu Mohammed Al-Attar said.
Six bodies and 99 injured reached hospitals from nearby aid sites in the morning, the Gaza health ministry said.
Meanwhile The Israeli army released footage it says shows military activity in Gaza as part of its 'Chariots of Gideon' operation.
In a statement released by the Israeli army, it says Israeli troops identified approximately 10 targets viewed as threats operating near them.
Israel's military campaign has since killed more than 54,000 Palestinians, most of them civilians, according to health authorities in Gaza, and flattened much of the coastal enclave.
Also The Israeli army says it has retrieved the body of Hamas' military chief Mohammed Sinwar in an underground tunnel beneath a southern Gaza hospital, following a targeted operation last month.
His older brother Yahya Sinwar, who was the mastermind behind the October 2023 attack on Israel, was killed in a strike last year, according to Israeli forces.
The Israeli military has raided or besieged numerous hospitals during the war, saying it was targeting Hamas operations.
The war in Gaza erupted after Hamas-led militants took 251 hostages and killed 1,200 people, most of them civilians, in the Oct. 7, 2023 attack, Israel's single deadliest day.
