Iran strikes U.S. bases in Kuwait, UAE

Iran’s Army said it launched a new wave of retaliatory missile and drone strikes on US military facilities in Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates, expanding its campaign against American targets in the region. The army said the attacks hit satellite communications systems, equipment depots, fighter aircraft hangars, troop positions and radar systems, and were carried out as part of the 31st wave of its Saeqeh, or Lightning, operation.

According to the statement, missiles and attack drones struck the US-run Ahmed al-Jaber Air Base in Kuwait. The army said the assault damaged communications systems and fighter aircraft hangars at the site. It described the base as an important logistics and support hub for US forces in West Asia, saying it plays a major role in air operations and surveillance across the region.

Iranian forces also targeted Al Minhad Air Base in the UAE, where the army said troop deployment areas and radar systems were hit. It described the facility as a key center for air support and transport for foreign forces.

The strikes came after a fresh round of US attacks on southern Iranian cities. The Iranian Health Ministry said those strikes killed at least 18 people and wounded 142 others. One reported attack hit a residential home in Kouhestak, in Hormozgan Province’s Sirik County, while a wedding ceremony was underway. That incident allegedly killed five civilians, including a four-year-old child, and injured more than 70 people.

The Iranian Army warned that any further attack by US forces would be met with a harsh response. Arab sources also reported missile and drone attacks on US bases in Kuwait, while flight activity at Kuwait International Airport was reportedly suspended because of the threat of more air attacks.
