Iran says it repelled drone attack on military site
Iran said it had repelled a drone attack on a military site in central Isfahan province, according to the defence ministry quoted.
"An unsuccessful attack was carried out using drones on one of the workshop complexes of the ministry of defence," it said, adding that the strike caused only minor damage to the roof of a building but no casualties.
The Iranian defence ministry says it has foiled a drone attack on a military facility in the city of Isfahan.
The ministry said three drones were involved but there were no casualties.
One drone was destroyed by air defence systems and two were caught by "defence traps", causing minor damage to a building, the ministry added.
Local authorities did not comment on activities at the site, but called it a "workshop". A news agency said the strike had targeted "an ammunition manufacturing plant".
Isfahan province is home to a large air base and several nuclear sites, including Natanz, which is at the centre of Iran's uranium enrichment programme.
In recent years, there have been a number of explosions, fires and cyber attacks on Iranian military, nuclear and industrial facilities.
The senior adviser to Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky, Mykhailo Podolyak, took to Twitter to mock Iran after it suffered an apparently devastating drone attack at a weapons facility in Isfahan, saying that "Ukraine did warn you."
