IRGC claims gains in strike campaign
Iran says attacks hit U.S. and Israeli targets
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps claimed significant progress in its retaliatory campaign against US and Israeli forces, saying missiles struck refineries, power facilities, ports and railways around Haifa with little evidence of interception. A senior IRGC commander asserted that northern settlements were abandoned and that the balance of power has shifted in Iran’s favor. Tehran says its operations—named Operation True Promise 4—have included nearly 100 waves of missile and drone strikes targeting US and Israeli military, logistical and industrial sites, and that an amphibious assault ship was forced to withdraw after strikes damaged onboard facilities.
Iranian spokesmen framed the strikes as lawful self-defense in response to what they described as an unprovoked US-Israeli campaign that began with the assassination of Iran’s revolutionary leader and other senior figures. The IRGC claimed recent attacks hit a US base in Kuwait, an Israeli cargo ship and multiple strategic centers north and south of Tel Aviv, while accusing US air defenses of failing to stop incoming missiles. Tehran warned it will continue operations until US-Israeli actions cease, dismissing US threats as ineffective and promising further retaliation for any new strikes.
