Hollywood stars Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have finally reached a divorce settlement, concluding one of the industry's most protracted and contentious separations after eight years. The former couple filed a default declaration in Los Angeles Superior Court, marking their agreement on marital and property rights.

Jolie, 49, and Pitt, 61, who were together for 12 years and married for two, have mutually agreed to forgo future spousal financial support. The settlement requires a judge's final approval. Their relationship, which began in 2004 during the filming of "Mr. and Mrs. Smith," ended when Jolie filed for divorce in 2016 following an incident on a private jet where she alleged Pitt was abusive toward her and their children.

While the FBI and Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services investigated the incident and took no action against Pitt, the aftermath led to complex legal proceedings. Although declared legally single in 2019, the couple faced numerous challenges in settling asset division and custody arrangements. A private judge's initial custody ruling was later overturned due to conflict of interest concerns.

The passage of time has simplified some aspects of the divorce, as four of their six children are now adults. Only 16-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne remain minors. Their other children are Maddox (23), Pax (21), Zahara (19), and their daughter formerly known as Shiloh, who recently removed Pitt's name from hers.

A separate legal battle continues over the French winery Château Miraval, which Jolie sold her share of to the Stoli Group's subsidiary, prompting Pitt to file a lawsuit claiming the sale was vindictive and unlawful.
