IRGC prepares for rapid offensive deployment
Iran’s Revolutionary Guards said their special operations units are now ready for rapid deployment nationwide, marking what commanders described as a shift from a defensive posture to offensive readiness. The statement came during a military drill, where IRGC officials said decisive operations would accelerate the decline of the United States and Israel.
Brigadier General Hassan Hassanzadeh said earlier claims that Iran would collapse quickly have been disproven, and that Iran’s armed forces are now confronting their adversaries in a limited area such as the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz. He said Iranian naval and aerospace forces have placed pressure on their opponents, who he claimed are now under stress and unable to respond convincingly to domestic critics.
He argued that military victory depends not only on equipment and technology, but also on faith, belief in divine support and loyalty to fallen fighters. He also said Iran has made major progress in missiles, drones and naval capabilities, strengthening its ability to block enemy objectives.
The commander said the IRGC has organized offensive teams and divisions for special operations and can move forces quickly to any part of the country. He added that repeated exercises have improved transport and rapid-response capabilities, allowing the force to strike back under any conditions.
He also accused the United States and Israeli leaders of failing to answer to their own publics after their promises to destroy Iran’s armed forces did not materialize. He said the Strait of Hormuz remains under Iran’s effective control and described the country as a central force in regional resistance and a key player in global affairs.
