Mojtaba Khamenei urges Muslim unity against enemies
Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei called the United States and the Zionist regime enemies not only of Iran but of the wider Muslim world, urging Islamic countries to recognize their true adversaries and close ranks. In a message for Unity Week, he said the solution to the problems facing the Muslim community lies in friendship, cooperation and a shared commitment to good and righteousness.
Mojtaba Khamenei warned that efforts to divide Muslims serve the interests of outside powers, which he said exploit religious, ethnic, cultural, economic and political differences to weaken Islamic countries before imposing their dominance. He said any action that creates discord among Muslims, whether deliberate or not, helps the enemies of Islam, and accused Western leaders of abandoning their disguise and openly revealing colonial and hegemonic ambitions.
The message stressed that Muslim unity is the first lesson of Islam and a foundation for collective defense, cooperation and progress in wealth, security, knowledge and development. He said this path could eventually lead to a new Islamic civilization, adding that this vision has already been realized to a significant degree in Iran. He also urged Iranians not to allow any division or internal conflict to emerge among them.
The remarks, delivered at an Islamic Unity gathering, also questioned whether Palestinians would have been left so vulnerable if Muslims had stood together, and whether countries bordering the Persian Gulf would face external threats if they had united under Islam.
The message also reflected the wider climate of conflict, with Iran facing sustained confrontation with the United States and Israel and accusing them of attacks on its territory and interests.
