A month after libiration of the Kyiv region from Russian troops, the capital of Ukraine is gradually coming back to life. Business activity is recovering.

But tension remain. On April 28, Ukraine's capital was once again hit by rocket fire.

VITALIY KLITSCHKO, MAYOR OF KIEV said:

"Missiles are falling again and destroying our homes. Another rocket hit in Shevchenkivsky district".

The shelling occurred during the visit of UN Secretary-General António Guterres to the Ukrainian capital.

The rocket attack resulted in a fire in a 25-storey apartment building, which partially destroyed two lower floors. 10 people were injured. Vira Girych, a journalist of Radio Svoboda, died in her apartment. In that day three cruise missiles also struck Fastov in the Kiev region.

Near Kyiv, victims of war crimes by the Russian army continue to be found. On April 29, a pit with the bodies of three civilized people was found in the forest near the village of Myrotske.

The people were tortured. Each one had bullet wounds on his limbs, and ear shot through.  Their hands tied behind them, and all their clothes were covered in blood.

ANDREY NEBYTOV, HEAD OF THE CHIEF POLICE DEPARTMENT OF THE KYIV REGION said:

"Another crime made by the Russian soldiers on the territory of the Buchansky district. This is the exact same Buchanskiy district, where more than a thousand peaceful people were killed and tortured, whose bodies were examined by investigators with forensic specialists".

A total of 1202 bodies of civilians killed by the Russian occupants were examined by investigators in Kyiv region.
