Iran launches massive missile strike on Israel

Missiles were launched from Iran towards Israel, resulting in explosions over West Bank cities as Israeli interceptor missiles were deployed from Hebron and Ramallah to counter the threat. This escalation follows a series of attacks between Israel and Iran that have resulted in numerous civilian casualties and heightened fears of a broader conflict.
At around 4:50 a.m. local time, Iran fired hundreds of missiles aimed at strategic locations in Tel Aviv and Haifa as part of a retaliatory operation named “Ya Ali ibn Abi Talib,” coinciding with the Eid al-Ghadir celebrations. Sirens sounded across the occupied territories, prompting Israeli authorities to instruct residents to seek shelter.
Videos shared on social media showed Iranian missiles breaching Israel's air defense systems, with significant damage reported at the Haifa power plant, a crucial part of Israel's energy infrastructure. The plant was engulfed in flames following the strike, and the Bazan oil refinery complex also sustained extensive damage.
A widespread power outage occurred across central areas of the occupied territories after the missile strikes, plunging many regions into darkness. Reports indicated that at least eight buildings were destroyed, with over two dozen settlers injured and some trapped under rubble in Tel Aviv.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed that the latest missile strikes were more powerful than previous phases of their operation, targeting Israel's command and control systems. They asserted that despite Israel's advanced defense technology, Iran's precision strikes successfully hit critical targets, exposing significant flaws in Israel's defense capabilities.
The IRGC warned that operations against Israel would persist until the regime's complete destruction, emphasizing the need for international supporters of Israel to recognize the ongoing threat posed by Iran.
