Mojtaba Khamenei hails unity amid tensions
Leader of the Islamic Revolution warns against division as talks stall
Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei praised the Iranian people's unity, saying it has inflicted a serious fracture on the enemy and disrupted efforts to undermine the Islamic Republic. He urged citizens to express practical gratitude for this solidarity, asserting that such actions will further strengthen national cohesion and weaken adversaries.
Mojtaba Khamenei warned against enemy psychological operations and media campaigns aimed at sowing division, calling for vigilance to protect national security.
His remarks followed a joint response from Iran’s president, parliament speaker and judiciary chief rejecting US claims of domestic “divisions between extremists and moderates” and reaffirming a united stance.
The statements came amid sustained tensions with the United States, Israel and Western allies; the report referenced recent hostilities that included alleged strikes and retaliatory Iranian operations. A ceasefire was later brokered and talks in Islamabad took place, but negotiations ended without agreement after lengthy discussions, with Iran citing distrust of US commitments.
