Pezeshkian rejects pressure on Iran
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said Iran will not accept pressure aimed at forcing it into submission and will continue defending what it regards as its rights. He rejected any demand that the country give up its military capabilities or defensive power, saying Iran will not bow to adversaries or follow a path shaped by the wishes of Israel. His message was that Tehran sees resistance as the only answer to coercion.
He described Iran’s response during the latest American-Israeli attacks as an act of self-defense and praised the country’s Armed Forces for their performance. Pezeshkian said the Aerospace Forces, the Army, the IRGC and other servicemen put up a fierce defense and astonished the world, presenting the military response as proof that Iran could withstand pressure and respond forcefully when threatened.
The president accused Israel and the United States of trying to unite Persian Gulf countries against Iran, while saying Tehran is working to prevent that from happening. He said Iran believes Muslims are brothers and does not accept sectarian division as a basis for separating them. In his remarks, he framed Muslim unity as a core belief and a practical response to regional tensions.
Pezeshkian also denied that Iran seeks territorial expansion or intends to attack neighboring countries. He contrasted Iran’s position with what he described as Israeli ambitions, saying Iran wants to live alongside its neighbors in peace and respect shared borders. He added that if Iran is attacked from neighboring territory, it will respond to the source of the strike rather than target those countries themselves.
