Harry and Meghan return to Britain
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan, are reportedly moving back to Britain with their two children, Archie and Lilibet. This relocation comes six years after they stepped back from royal duties and moved to the US in 2020. Reports indicate the family will establish a new private, non-royal residence outside London, with their children, aged seven and five, enrolled to begin school in the UK in September. The couple will maintain their Montecito, California, home and a vacation property in Portugal, suggesting a transatlantic lifestyle. This move does not signify a return to their roles as working members of the Royal Family; King Charles has made it clear they will continue as private individuals. The King reportedly welcomes the opportunity to see more of his family in a personal capacity, especially following a reunion with Harry, Meghan, and their children at Highgrove House in July. This marked the first time King Charles had seen Archie and Lilibet in over four years.Their 2020 departure from Britain was attributed to intense media scrutiny and a desire for privacy. Harry previously stated security concerns made it challenging to bring his family to the UK. The decision to return now, even in a non-royal capacity, marks a new chapter for the Sussex family. While Harry has reportedly made progress repairing his relationship with his father, his relationship with his brother, Prince William, remains distant. Meghan is expected to continue leading her lifestyle brand, As Ever, from the UK, while Harry can increase his involvement with his British charities. The location of their new British home and the children's school are being kept private.
