In a dramatic escalation, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) conducted large-scale airstrikes on Tehran, deploying over 50 fighter jets to strike key military and nuclear-related targets. Among the sites hit were a centrifuge production facility tied to Iran's nuclear program, the Revolutionary Guard’s academy in Hakimiyeh, the Ministry of Defence headquarters, and multiple missile and drone installations .

According to rights monitors, the strikes have resulted in at least 585 fatalities and over 1,300 injuries across Iran, including military personnel and civilians; Tehran has been gripped by fear, triggering mass evacuations and widespread business closures, including at the historic Grand Bazaar

The IDF also claimed responsibility for the killing of General Ali Shadmani, a newly appointed senior commander in Iran’s military structure.

In response, Iran has launched around 400 missiles and numerous drones targeting Israel, resulting in at least 24 Israeli casualties, according to Iranian sources. Israeli air defenses have reportedly intercepted most of these threats.

The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has announced that the advanced "Fattah" hypersonic missiles were used in the eleventh phase of Operation True Promise III.

The missile successfully penetrated much-hyped Israeli air defenses and delivered a powerful message to the regime and its Western backers, the IRGC said.

The IRGC described the latest phase of the operation as a "turning point," saying the deployment of first-generation Fattah missiles marked “the beginning of the end” for Israel’s “mythical” missile defense systems.

Global concerns are mounting: China is evacuating its citizens, the U.S. embassy in Jerusalem remains closed, satellite data shows U.S. naval repositioning, and Egypt has initiated diplomatic talks pushing for a ceasefire.
