Iran warns U.S. against renewed attacks

Iran’s army spokesman warned that any renewed US attack would trigger a broader and more decisive response, saying the Iranian public would again back the armed forces. He said Washington has a dark record in Iranian memory and argued that Iran is now more prepared in morale, training and equipment than it was before. He added that another assault would deepen regional instability and increase hostility toward the United States.

Brigadier General Reza Akraminia used a long televised speech to frame current tensions as a repeat of past wars, comparing today’s conflict with the Iran-Iraq war. He said the army trained and deployed millions of fighters in the “Sacred Defense,” praised the role of ground forces, air defense, air force and navy, and said those experiences proved Iran can absorb pressure and respond forcefully. He also said public support on the streets has strengthened military resolve.

Akraminia urged regional states to build an indigenous security order without foreign powers, saying the expulsion of US forces would make the region safer. He argued that the United States does not care about Muslim nations’ interests and is unable to guarantee regional security. Iran’s leadership has repeatedly said outside military presence is a root cause of instability.

He also linked present-day US policy to what he called past strategic miscalculations, saying previous enemies underestimated Iran and failed in their goals. He said similar mistakes are being repeated now, with Iran’s foes trying and failing to weaken its missile and nuclear capabilities. He concluded that any new aggression would be met with a stronger and more crushing response from Iran.
